Very nice, indigoj. Is the stowaway still terrorizing the tank?

Yes they get HUGE. My two are babies at about 6" They are still at the fast growing stage so should be about 8" in a couple of months.

The colours on the fish in the first photo are lovely. Are oscars all that colour or do they vary?

They do vary. You can get albino ones which also have the orange/red markings, some have the markings in almost stripes and some have very few markings and wild ones are a more olive colour.

They colours fade and brighten depending on mood, food and condition - these 2 were very pale a few weeks ago but have really brightened up now.

They have grown again too, probably 1/2" since that pic...
