would blue led's act as the blue tube or are they too blue to do this?

also would white led's be better than a tube ?

as i have been reading about the led's in tanks and some are saying you get better light from the led's

any body use them at all ?

i understand the power consumption is starting to show a major decision maker

what is your ideas on these

right chez the blue tube in the marine lighting is this ?

couple of quieries for you

this blue tube does this stay on during the day ? also does this add to your wattage ?

currently i have 15w tube in the tank and the tank is 15 gallons so on an empty tank i am looking at 1w per gallon yes

now if i add a blue actinic light which is also 15w if this is on all day and then 2hrs either side of the other would this not give me 30w total meaning 2w per gallon

also do i need to take into consideration displaction volume? regaurds to wattage and height of the tank and height of the live rock ?

i think i am getting my self confused with all this light talk lol

I Put my blues on 1 hr in a morning
turn off
then put daylight on then both day light and sun together all day
At night I Turn off the sunlight leaving daylight on for about a hour
then turn that off and put the blues on for a hour before bed time
I have the lights on around 10 hrs a day

its not a very deep tank so you will be ok.
