Just mooching about online and came across this stuff that I thought might interest you salty guys.

Have any of you heard of or know about it and what do you think??

http://www.ecosystemaquarium.com/products/miracle-mudr.html

I found it on this site by the way, so it is available in UK if anyone needs it

their are a few of these available

miracle mud
mineral mud

both are the same but mineral is cheaper lol

this is used instead of or with a deep sand bed

basicly it just puts nutrients in the water and acts as a safe haven for good critters

its main use is in sumps and refugiums etc

their is a debate on which gives the best results mmb or dsb and no one can tell the advantages over the other as both give pritty simmilar result

Thanks karl. I was looking at filters and it was mentioned on those pages. Not something I had heard of before tbh, but then I know nothing of salty stuff except that it's put on chips Smile
