Hiya everyone. You might remember that my filters got washed in tapwater the other day, and I have been doing water checks since then and daily water changes.

Problem now is that my ammonia is really starting to climb despite this, and I dont know whether to start using Ammo Lock or something like tat to keep it from getting worse.

The ammonia tonight is 1.0, but only because I managed to do a water change this morning. If I do the water just once a day it goes higher than that.

What do you think?

Keep up the water changes for another while tardis but, if the ammonia gets much higher, AmmoLock might be an option. I used it when I had a mini-cycling crisis (Ammonia was 8 Shocked ) and I think it did help as it converts the ammonia to less toxic ammonium so is useful in an emergency. Smile
