backing pics

Post by tardis on Sat Jul 19, 2008 10:33 pm

Could anyone tell me if fisg really need some sort of backing on their tank, or is it just to make them look nice? I took mine off a couple of days ago because I didnt like it any more, but am wondering now if I need to replace it with something or not?

hiya tardis, I have read that it makes the fish feel more secure to have a backing sheet on the tank (I wonder how they know that??), but have seen tanks with no backing on. I think though the majority of people have a backing sheet because of that.

My main tank has no back and the fish dont seem bothered. However I am waiting for the right one i guess.

The shell dwellers tank has a backing picture and to be honest I dont notice any change in behaviour between the tanks.

I guess it would depend what colour the wall was behind the tank.
America is a melting pot, the people at the bottom get burned while all the scum floats to the top.
